My dream has always been to acquire more people to experience the worlds most beautiful, odd and different places from horseback. To make a contribution to get more people (and animals) to meet, acquaint with each other and hopefully bring beautiful memories home from the trip.We can learn a lot from all the people we meet on odd and solitary situated places around the world. I have often wondered myself how people in a certain place are doing in this moment (winter, cold, drought, scarcity of food etc.)
Just think what a good life we have at home. Yet they seem to be very happy with there simple lifestyle. A lot to think about…
Over the years the trips have been many to find the best experiences.
When it has shown that the most important thing, the animals care do not reach up to the standard it has been a great disappointment. I have often in despair tried to make it understood the importance of the horses (and all other animals) treatment. They should be treated well with respect and love. In some cases comprehension, respect and a good cooperation has come been established. In other cases our visits has resulted in better horse caring in the future. This shows that something good comes out of our visits even though we will not arrange trips to the specific place!
Through the years the number of people who have tested and got used to travel by horse has grown. Many of you have come to share with us the habit to immediately want to plan the next exiting adventure.
One of our most faithful and most appreciated customer have done over 40 horse trips all over the world and he has become a dear friend through the years . Recently (probably in the light of a sparkle campfire) he told me there is one thing he regrets in life, that is that he did not start travelling by horse earlier. From a horseback we get to experience something that others will never get close to. As a confirmed horseback traveller we constantly travel along new paths, inaccessible for busses, jeeps and loud vehicles. Horses can take us to places only we can reach. We see beautiful animals and meet people in the mountains, in small villages and on farms far away from all the things a regular tourist will experience. With the wind blowing in our hair we feel all of nature’s scents, we listen to the sound of hoofs and birds chirping. It can not be experiences in a better way then this!
Nowadays it is the big adventures that attract me the most and it is South America and Africa that draws the most. Now when we celebrate our 10th anniversary, you can therefore find more to choose from in these two exiting continents then ever before.
At the beginning of the company’s history someone asked me how long I was planning to do this and I think my answer was about 10 years. Now (after 10 years) I know that I will always be curious to see new places and dream about investigating them on a horse back, end up on odd places and meet beautiful, warm and friendly people who leaves strong impression.
This is a lifestyle that I want to share with as many of you as possible. With a larger selection of riding tours and combination tours then ever before, I welcome you to new exiting, adventures by horse! Except what is written on these pages we always have more interesting news in the “pipeline”. More adventure, more experiences, greater and more exiting programs for those who already tried most trips by horse and a wide selection for all types of travelers and riders.
Many of our travellers are not satisfied with visiting only one place or farm during their trip. A lot of people like our different combination trips and it is common that non riding friends or family members join the trip and combine it with adventure, culture, golf, other sports or gastronomy experience.

Our selected favorite spots like vineyards, farms, boarding houses and lodges will be the perfect accommodation. Let us show you our way to a different experience, horse riding as well as on the side of the golf course! We never make commitments where we guarantee large volumes or a certain amount of travelers. Instead our highest priority is to help you choose just the right trip for you. We listen to your wishes and dreams and from that we help you to plan your trip. It is our strategy to make you satisfied with the trip and experience that it is unique and suitable just for you! These programs are aimed to wake your interest and help you chose what you think suits you the best.
We want to be able to guarantee highest conceivable quality on horses, equipment, guiding as well as accommodation, experiences and food. Therefore we have already visit 95 % of our destinations. When you book a trip you can as a rule always speak to one of us who has been on that place. If you are traveling from other countries the Sweden you can best book tour flights on the internet or form a travel agent in your country. When the booking is made with us we ask that you inform us about all your flight details so that we can arrange the transfer accordingly.
During 2007 & 2008 many of our trips have set dates where we reserve us for carrying out the trip if the participation if to low. Information regarding this will be given 30 days before departure. If the trip against all odds would be canceled we have other trips to offer. These trips can be booked on inquiry with us according to requested dates.If you are a group of 4-8 persons (sometimes even more) we can book own dates for your party. Check with us about the particular trip you are interested in. For longer trips to Africa, New Zealand, South America and some trips to USA you mostly travel from Europe the day before arrival and you arrive the day after departure.
We make reservations for changes in described day-and riding programs because of weather, wind, sickness or other facts that could affect the trip. We also reserve us for eventual exchange increase that could affect the trips price. The prices for these programs are calculated according to the exchange rates from 1/2-2007. We also make reservations for price increase during the year if so is needed. Further we refer to our specific travel conditions which we enclose with the booking confirmation.
All required bonds are made according to Swedish regulations. Greenways Travel is a selected member of FRA, a part of Travel- and Tourism industry in Sweden and follows the requirement from consumer’s organisation. All of this guarantees maximal safety when booking a trip.
